My Dreams

My name is Nurul Holifah. I have a lot of dreams. When I was in elementary school, I wanted to be a teacher. It was because my teachers were smart, kind, and patient, so I thought being a teacher was a noble job. My dream kept going on until I was in junior high school.
Do you know friends? My dream to be a teacher suddenly changed to be a president when I was in senior high school. There were some reasons why I wanted to be a president. First, I have a high social care, I always feel sad when I watch many street children, poverty in everywhere, and bad news of the Indonesia’s economic on the television. Second, I have a leadership soul. I want to lead Indonesia to be better country. Third, I want the people in this country be smart, prosperous, and keep together, so that we would be ready to face the threat from the other countries. I knew that was amazing dream, but I thought that nothing’s impossible in this world.
When I graduated from senior high school, I realized that being a president was fully responsible job and being a leader was not an easy thing. I realized that my capability was very low. Maybe because I began to be old in mind. After that, I changed my dream to become a public accountant, so I decided to take accounting in UNNES, the same major that I took in my senior high school. I love accounting so much.
Now, I’m studying in UNNES by Bidikmisi scholarship (a scholarship for the poor and smart student that was given by the country). Because of it, I always study hard to be smart and graduate as soon as possible. I always think how I can help my country as my country helps me to study in the college. Finally, I get the answer after I got an entrepreneurship lesson in the class. Do you know what the answer? The answer is besides I want to be a public accountant I also want to be a businesswoman. If you ask why, I will answer because I want to build my own business, so that I can make job vacancies for many Indonesian people. The income that I earn from my job as a public accountant is for my family and the income from my business is for my country. I hope I can build a mosque, a school for the poor and a library. Now, I know how to make Indonesia to be better country without being a president.
And my assignments now are study hard to be a professional accountant and learn to be a good entrepreneur step by step from building a small business. I can apply my skill in accounting by my job as a public accountant and I can apply my hobby, my leadership and my accounting skill by building a business that I love. I hope my dreams will come true and be useful for me, my family, and my country. Amin.

Notes:
First, I changed some tenses in paragraph 2 from past tense to present tense because I still have several things that I mentioned, such as high social care. I also added “be” before “ready” because ready is an adjective.
Second, in paragraph 3, I changed “I realized that being a president was fully responsible job and be a leader was not an easy thing to be “I realized that being a president was fully responsible job and being a leader was not an easy thing because being a president and being a leader are gerund as subjects.
Third, I changed “got” to be “get” in paragraph 4 because it is present tense.
I also added “be” before “useful” in paragraph 5 because I realized that useful is an adjective.
